This post is probably going to be a bit of whiplash. My last post was in December and was filled with hope for the new decade. However, 2020 has proved to be the “this is fine” meme x10. 2020 has been filled with challenges, a global pandemic, rampant police brutality, a hit to my income, etc.
I think what I am most disappointed about is not being able to reveal the project I was hoping to release for resort fashion week. However, there are some positives that have come from all of this. I have more time to make a fashion line that reflects my perspective as a designer. I have more time to plan my project with the hopes of launching it in 2021. And I have made a lot of new amigurumi patterns (which I will upload over the next few weeks).
So what does this mean? Well, I have more down time than I know what to do with. Mostly I have filled it with gardening and have completely transformed our yard. It is like a nice little escape from the city and it has been fun to watch my seedlings grow. I am hoping to use some of this time to refocus on my TikTok and blog. I really enjoy being able to share news about drama, sewing, and crocheting. I may also add a new section about gardening since it is a new passion of mine. I am so excited to harvest my tomatoes and cucumbers.
I hope you are all doing well and that quarantine has been kind to you. Let me know in the comments if you have picked up a new hobby with your new life as a homebody.
